If You Were The Devil
If you were the devil, how would you destroy the young minds of the next generation without them knowing it?
If I were the devil, and my goal was to destroy the young minds of the next generation without them realizing it, I wouldn’t use fire and brimstone. I’d use distraction, normalization, and slow decay. Here's how:
-
Glorify superficiality – I’d make them chase likes, followers, and validation from strangers online. I’d convince them their worth depends on appearance, status, and filtered images instead of inner strength, kindness, or knowledge.
-
Normalize chaos – I’d flood media with dysfunction, glorifying toxic relationships, drugs, and violence as “cool” or “real.” I’d make rebellion look like freedom, and wisdom look like weakness.
-
Destroy critical thinking – I’d push instant gratification, endless scrolling, and spoon-fed opinions. I’d make sure they rarely question anything deeply or think for themselves.
-
Rewrite truth – I’d blur the lines between right and wrong, replacing morality with trends. I’d make truth “relative,” so no one really knows what to stand for anymore.
-
Weaken family and mentors – I’d divide them from parents, teachers, and anyone who might guide them. I’d encourage mistrust, pride, and isolation.
-
Feed their insecurities – I’d whisper that they’ll never be good enough. I’d make them compare their worst moments to others' highlights. I’d create mental prisons of anxiety, depression, and perfectionism.
-
Bury purpose – I’d distract them from their talents, dull their passions, and make them feel lost. I’d drown out their inner voice with noise until they forget why they were even born.
Subtle. Seductive. Invisible poison in pretty packages.
